Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto (RV) has dominated the Lites division both indoors (Supercross) and outdoors (Motocross), and he’s been compared to the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time), Ricky Carmichael, for his natural ability, work ethic, accomplishments and similar looks. When Villopoto isn’t on the road for the grueling Motocross and Supercross schedules, you might be surprised to find out that he hits the local RC track. RV raced 1/10-scale off-road years ago, and now likes the bigger more powerful world of 1/8-scale. When Losi found out the superstar would be running its 1/8-scale rigs when he gets a break from photo shoots, races, commercials and everything else involved with being in the limelight, Losi had its own factory pro, Adam Drake, build Villopoto a custom 8IGHT-T. RV received his brushless 8IGHT-T while testing Kawi’s new fuel-injected engine for the upcoming SX season. RC Car Action was there to get photos and video of the superstar with his two new rides.
